Volunteer Opportunities

Family and community member volunteers are vital to EOCF's programs. Volunteer positions are fun and provide volunteers with opportunities to learn and practice new skills while giving back to the community in a meaningful way.

Volunteer opportunities range from short term projects and special events to regularly scheduled volunteering in our administrative offices and classrooms.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Classroom volunteer,
  • Clerical volunteer,
  • Committee member, and
  • Maintenance and facility volunteer.

Volunteer Requirements

Volunteers may be considered regular status volunteers (volunteering at least once each week) or short term/special project volunteers (volunteering less than once each week). Volunteers are required to complete paperwork and trainings based on whether they are regular status or short term/special project volunteers, per Head Start and ECEAP performance standards. Please click the appropriate link below to access volunteer requirements and paperwork. Please note, TB testing locations are listed for those needing to get a TB test as part of their volunteer requirements. If you are interested in becoming a regular status volunteer and have not resided in Washington State the past three years, please contact the Volunteer Manager to discuss fingerprinting requirements.
